Addi CraSyTrio Double Pointed Needles

An ingenious new way to knit even the smallest of diameters!

Addi CraSyTrio includes 3 uniquely designed needles that are an improvement on the classic double pointed needles with its innovative flexible middle. Designed for added ease of use, these needles work like regular double-pointed needles while the short, flexible wire in the middle allows the needles to sit comfortably in your hand without getting in the way.

The CraSiest part is that this clever trio from Addi has a BASIC tip at one end and a LACE tip at the other, making it ideal for knitting with all kinds of yarn.

The CraSy needles don’t seem to be available in the US - only the Flexi Flips. The cable join on CraSys is far superior (smoother) to the join on FlexiFlips, although I do like the square shaped FlexiFlips with the knurled texturing. The two different points on CraSys are great. Love the sharp points. I like the bendable dps best for Selbu mittens as compared to 5 dps, magic loop or 2 circulars. They have reduced time for knitting them 30%! Not quite as game-changing for socks. Anticipate they would be excellent for small toys/animals/etc. Probably will never use dps again for Selbu mittens! Just wish they came in 1.5mm size!

Really like the two points. The CrasyTrio needles have a much smoother join at cable then the FlexiFlips. But I like the square textured FlexiFlips better for holding. The join on the CraSy needles is so much better - it doesn’t hang up on the knitting. However, the 21 cm length is a bit short - it’s a little like knitting with toothpicks. I like the 30 cm length better. But they are really ideal for Selbu mittens and have reduced time by 2 hours per mitten. And thumbs are much better! Not as big a change on socks. There’s a little more tendency to ladder between needles than with regular dps, but I find doing Bavarian twisted stitch patterns obviates some of that as knitting through the back loop at beginning of needle helps.
