Katia
The yarn and textile manufacturer Katia was founded in Barcelona in 1951 and has since then been dedicated to creating yarn and yarn recipes for knitting enthusiasts throughout a lifetime.
Katia was first founded as a subsidiary under the parent company Hilaturas Génesis, but has since grown into a large, internationally recognized company with many loyal customers and a wide experience within the DIY textile industry. The Katia group also does not just consist of the Katia brand, but of the three brands Katia, Concept by Katia and Lanas STOP. Today, Katia is a force within the yarn world with yarns that are sold in over 50 countries and new, innovative patterns that inspire knitters everywhere.
Try Katia Jarapa, which is a chunky yarn intended for making rugs, cushions and baskets, and which is inspired by the southern Spanish Jarapa rugs, or try Katia 50 Mohair Shades, which is the finest, furriest mohair yarn, which with its 20 g has a running length of a whopping 200 m.
