Scheepjes Organicon is made from 100% organic cotton and is part of a global movement with a focus on reducing resource consumption and finding environmentally friendly production methods.

Organic cotton is an especially soft fibre that is perfect for sensitive skin. The yarn is, therefore, ideal to use for clothes, toys, or accessories for babies and children as well as for adults with sensitive skin. The yarn is vegan since it does not contain any animal products or by-products.

Furthermore, it has a GOTS-certificate that, through traceability, secures that the cotton is cultivated on organically certified fields where there is no use of chemical fertilisers. The certificate also ensures that the yarn is farmed in a sustainable way that at the same time ensures fertility on the land where it is cultivated. The colouring agents are also GOTS-certified and have the highest sustainability index within textile manufacturing.
