Mayflower Birmingham
Mayflower Birmingham is a soft yarn spun on South American wool, where there's added alpaca and viscose. The viscose helps to create the beautiful tweed streaks that characterize the yarn, and gives the yarn a nice play of colour. The alpaca fibers help to give the yarn a nice shine. Birmingham is a fine yarn where the recommended needle is 3.00-3.50 mm. However, it can be knitted double on needles 4-5mm, which gives the finished project more volume.
