Cable & mending needles
Cable needles are there to help you when you are cable knitting.
When you are using a cable needle, move half of the stitches of the cable onto your cable needle. There, they can wait either in front of or behind the work.
The needles come in different sizes and shapes. For example, you can buy Clover's U-shaped cable needles or the more traditional shape where the needle has a bend in the middle.
You often get two or three needles, each in their own size, so you have cable needles for different situations.
The pins work so that half of the meshes are twisted over to the auxiliary pin, where they wait either in front or behind the work.
