BC Garn Bio Shetland GOTS

BC Garn Bio Shetland is a 100% GOTS-certified wool yarn with the character of a classic Shetland-type yarn. The yarn combines a rustic appearance with a light and airy structure, creating a beautiful and durable result. It is a versatile yarn that is suitable for both delicate and more robust knitting projects.

Use
Suitable for jumpers, cardigans, shawls and accessories with texture or pattern. Particularly good for colourwork and classic Nordic designs.

Product benefits

  • GOTS-certified: Produced with a focus on the environment and responsible production conditions
  • Light and generous yardage: Creates lightweight projects with good volume without feeling heavy
  • Classic wool structure: Enhances patterns and textured knitting with a clearly defined stitch definition

Tips for use

Knit on smaller needles for a dense and hard-wearing result or larger needles for a more airy expression. Perfect for Fair Isle and other patterns where the yarn’s structure adds depth.

Why choose this yarn?
Bio Shetland is an excellent choice for anyone wanting an organically certified wool yarn with a classic look, good durability and great versatility in both textured and patterned knitting.

Obsessed with this yarn. I buy it on repeat. I double or triple the strands for blankets I make. I'm fascinated by the dry touch, the springiness & elasticity, the incredible colors which actually obssess me. It's like the best British yarn from my childhood sweaters as knit by my Mum. I'll be back for more.

Extremely beautiful colors. A tiny bit on the rough side but I combined it with some mohair and it fluffed it right up. Extremely warm as well. I would consider it about a sock weight yarn.
